The playing screen is miniscule - I have decent eyesight, but I cannot read half of the script, and there is NO option for enlarging! Microsoft had better re-issue this for free and better if they want to keep ANY credibility! This is the third time I have bought AoE and by far the most disappointing!
The software did not download and when I tried again the link said I had already used it. I even purchased it again and the same thing happened. Without an email address or telephone number at Amazon I could not let them know so I have paid twice for a product I still do not have.
Sort that one out please Amazon. Been a fan of Age of Empires since version1 so was pleased when this new HD version became available but its not quite as simple as buying a game.
You buy a voucher and then have set up a Microsoft account to be able to redeem the voucher once this is done you can add Age Of Empires to your account and then you can install it. They are big files and take a good while to install depending on your internet connection. Eventually I had it installed and tried it. Unfortunately I never completed a game first game got half an hour in and it suddenly terminated no error message nothing. I rebooted and tried again Second game got over an hour into it and was just feeling confident when the same thing happened.
I lost everything I had built So an afternoon wasted. I must add that this is on Windows 10 so can't speak for the xbox.
It remained as such. However I found that as soon as I logged on to the MS Store my purchase changed to show the cost, and the order details link gave me a link to my software download library which showed the software AND a link to redeem through XBOX live.
I was then able to open the MS Store and as soon as I did that - the software was available for download. Please note - the download is I installed the game and I have completed the fist campaign mission without any issues.
As enjoyable as ever. Hope this helps as I see many have bought this game and suffered through no fault of their own. There really ought to be a guide between Amazon and MS on how to proceed after purchase. Then even with a computer that fit all the requirements the game keeps crashing.
